OOY Workshops have been rescheduled to

January 2015

Location : The Gathering Place - Pickering

How Much: All half day workshops | Cost : $10

**Please be advised that all topics and discussions will be handled at an age appropriate level. Therefore all content and material will be distributed accordingly.**

Workshops have been designed with the intended purpose of teaching and enhancing life skills that will help support young girls as they navigate their way through the turbulence of pre-adolescence and adolescence; with the hope that they will not lose perspective on the girl they were created to be and the women they were created to become.

A skill is a learned ability to do something well. Life skills are abilities individuals can learn that will help them to be successful in living a productive and satisfying life. Skills such as boundary setting; school life balance; effective communication; personal validation and self-reflection are just a few fundamentals that will help young people deal with difficulties of the present, as well as become equipped to face the challenges of the future.

All of our workshops use age appropriate learning methodologies including physical exercises, group activities, video, personal reflection, and group discussion. Workshops are highly interactive in nature and trainers are both insightful and engaging. Through the experiential learning process, it is hoped that each child who attends an OOY workshop will be able to internalize what she has learned and gain the ability to apply the skills appropriately into her life, for her entire life.
